Okay, so Starbreeze/ Overkill has made an official statement (which to be honest took them long enough) that they are in no way connected to the video released, and then removed, yesterday.

What it says is basically that the company in no way stand behind the values propagated by the film and reject it and the contents of it. They’re (Starbreeze/ Overkill) taking this very seriously and have launched an investigation to find out what really happened.

The contest on Linked In has also been removed. So well done.

The good thing about this is that it actually shone a light on the sexism in the industry. A couple of years ago, no one would have batted an eyelash, so maybe things are changing.

I’m all for giving people the benefit of a doubt, but I find it very hard to believe they’d actually record this if they read the script to it first and didn’t like it. Someone has after all been given access to the studio, to the devs and they seem happy to participate. So, what’s the deal? How could this happen? Anyway, I look forward to the results of the investigation launched by Starbreeze/ Overkill and I wish them luck. They’re going to need it.

As I said in a previous post. All of this has made the whole studio seem like troglodytes, and I’m pretty sure some of them are good guys.
