I am more or less rushing through Horizon Forbidden West because I enjoy it so much. The storytelling is sublime. I can’t help but think that it is one of the strongest narrative games I have ever played.

And there are moments. So many in fact that I’ve missed some of them due to the weird decision of only having 5 manual saves for the game. Missed as in “I wasn’t prepared to record that!”. In part this is obviously because my PS5 won’t allow me to save a clip in mp4 format after the fact.

Anyway. The moment Morlund and Aloy click is beautiful to behold. It’s such a heavy click. One tinkerer to another and they just… Many a ships were born that moment. It’s like “where have you been all my life?!” It’s a supreme moment. It would be downright negligent of me to not include it in this series.
