I have a confession. I didn’t like Hades when I started playing it. It felt repetitive and boring. There was no onboarding, and I didn’t understand what was going on, where to go, what to do and all those things that I work hard for not to happen in games, because, hey, UX designer.

BUT I had to play it for work. So I played it for work, I figured, I’d get to the point where I could unlock a few systems and then I could stop playing. One of the things about being a UX designer is that you kinda need to follow the player journey from start to finish, because a player 120 hours into a game is still on a player journey.

Anyway. I figured I’d push my way through the game and just play it so that I could do an analysis.

And then I met Dusa. The clip is captured from the first moment you meet Dusa. I was hooked immediately.

Dusa is SO CUTE. Dusa is the sweetest little bodyless Gorgon I’ve ever met, and I love Dusa. I have made it my mission in life to make Dusa happy. I don’t care what it takes.

I love Dusa.
