I’m going to start writing about the women in game dev that I admire (alright, I will include non-binary and non-genderous people too). I’m doing this to highlight that inspiration in this industry does not necessarily come only from men, and not only from women who are well known for one reason or other.
I know being a woman in game dev can sometimes be thankless, but with this series I want you to know you are seen and you are appreciated.
Most likely I will bungle this one way or another. I’ll forget someone, I’ll put someone else in potential danger. I’ll fuck something up.
If I do, reach out and I will do my best to address it and fix it. This series is supposed to be a good thing, not added stress. It is a letter of respect and admiration and support.
I hope it works.
